Where to Lace Up Your Ice Skates Around the Twin Cities
With over 14,380 lakes, it's no surprise ice sports have become quite a tradition around Minnesota. Ice skating is a fun way to exercise during the wintertime. Whether you play hockey, figure skate, or simply like to skate around, there are so many great rinks around the Twin Cities. Many of them are outdoors too, so it's easy to get some fresh air. With three full indoor rinks, a locker room, spectator seating, skate rentals, and a concession stand, Parade Ice Garden is easily one of the best skating spots in Minneapolis. Open skating takes place most weekday afternoons, but the rink also hosts adult open hockey and figure skating pro ice as well. There are often many events to watch on the weekends. You'll have a ton of fun at Parade Ice Garden, and it's just a short drive from some beautiful Minneapolis homes for sale.
