Hidden Gems: Must-Visit Antique Shops in the Twin Cities | Counselor Realty

If you appreciate antiques, then you know that "as good as old" can be better than "as good as new." Luckily, the Twin Cities are home to many antique stores where you can find collectibles, vintage furniture, and so much more. This weekend, take a break from looking at Minneapolis homes for sale and St. Paul homes for sale and stop by one of these lovely antique shops.

  • Hunt and Gather - 4946 Xerxes Ave. S, Minneapolis, MN 55410
You've never seen antiques like these before! Hunt & Gather stocks some of the most unique, off-the-wall vintage and antique items. You'll find real disco balls from the '70s, a huge collection of porcelain dolls and figurines, hand-painted furniture, candelabras, and so much more.

More than 15 dealers sell at Hunt & Gather, and the store has two full levels. They're open daily until 6 p.m.

  • Loft Antiques - 3022 W. 50th St., Minneapolis, MN 55410
    Loft Antiques
is a more traditional antique store. With three levels of carefully curated items, they stock vintage fabrics, pottery, glassware, jewelry, and more. This shop has quite a selection of mid-century furniture, too.

Many of the items at Loft Antiques are staged as though they are in a real room, which makes the store a relaxing and enjoyable place to shop. They've been a mainstay in the Twin Cities for over 25 years. Stop by between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. any day of the week.

  • Antiquified -  2430 California St. NE, Minneapolis, MN 55418
With a name like Antiquified, you know you're about to find treasure. This store is built into an old home, so it has a quaint and elegant appeal. Throughout the home, even the closets and bathrooms are full of unique knick-knacks and rare items. You'll find all sorts of framed prints, vintage lace, and cookware.

Antiquified is also known for its outdoor garden area, which is open in good weather. Here, they sell iron planters, garden art, and even some old farm equipment. Located in the Minneapolis Arts District, this shop accepts credit cards and is open Tuesday-Saturday from 11 a.m.-6 p.m. and Sunday from 1-4 pm.

  • The Mall of St. Paul - 1817 Selby Ave., St. Paul, MN 55104
If you like vinyl records, then The Mall of St. Paul is a great place to go. This shop has an entire room of records with music across many genres. Of course, that's not all that they sell. They also have cool lamps, handmade vases, older books, and vintage furniture.

The Mall of St. Paul is known for their fair prices. And while they do have some true antiques, they also carry plenty of sought-after items from 20 or 30 years ago. If you grew up in the 90s, you'll feel right at home here.

  • Missouri Mouse Antiques - 1750 Selby Ave., St. Paul, MN 55104
    Missouri Mouse Antiques
opened in 1981 and has been a favorite among antique collectors ever since. The store has a charming personality, and it's full of eclectic items, vintage furniture, postcards, and more.

Dozens of vendors call Missouri Mouse Antiques home, and there's always something new to discover. Their selection of leather chairs and lamps is second to none. There is one rule: Everything sold in the store is at least 40 years old. The store is open Tuesday-Sunday.

We hope you get a chance to visit these stores and discover a treasure as good as old! If you need any help finding a new home to house your antique furniture and collectibles, call today. Our agents are happy to help.
