Best Places for Brunch on Father's Day in the Twin Cities | Counselor Realty

With Father's Day coming up, it's time to start planning how you want to celebrate the fathers in your life. Going out for brunch is a great way to get the family together and make memories that your dad will treasure for the rest of his life.

With so many great brunch places to choose from near our Minneapolis homes for sale and St. Paul homes for sale, there's something available to please every dad's palate. Here are just a few of the many restaurants open for Father's Day brunch that we think the guest of honor will love.

  • Young Joni - 165 13th Ave. NE, Minneapolis, MN 55413
Young Joni's new brunch menu is full of breakfast favorites with an exciting twist, including Thai sausage skewers, shakshuka, and a Dutch baby with fruit compote and crème anglaise. If breakfast food isn't your thing, you can also order any of their pizzas, including their Rise and Shine pizza topped with eggs and sausage. Many of their dishes are gluten-free, dairy-free, or vegetarian, and you can get your pizza made with a gluten-free crust upon request.

  • Saturday Dumpling Co. – 208 N. 29th Ave., Minneapolis, MN 55411
If your dad prefers to eat at home or in a quiet park instead of in a restaurant, consider getting him some takeout brunch from Saturday Dumpling Co. This takeout-only eatery is famous for its delicious scallion pancakes, but you can also get delicious yet unconventional menu items like pastrami fried rice and ten different flavors of dumplings. Orders must be placed in advance, so plan ahead if you want to make these dishes part of your celebration.

  • Marty's Deli – 400 Lowry Ave. NE, Minneapolis, MN 55418
Dads who enjoy simple fare will love feasting on the hearty sandwiches available at Marty's Deli. This shop's locally beloved egg and cheese sandwiches are only sold before noon, but you can also order any of the many scrumptious sandwiches and sides on their lunch menu during early visits. Paired with soup or homemade hashbrowns and a cup of coffee, iced tea, or soda, you'll have everything you need to fill your dad up before the fun day ahead.

  • Highland Grill - 771 Cleveland Ave. S, St. Paul, MN 55116
Does your dad plan on sleeping in on his special day? You can still take him out for brunch at Highland Grill. This restaurant near our St. Paul homes for sale serves breakfast all day, every day, so you can enjoy your morning meal long after the morning is gone. They serve everything from a classic American breakfast plate loaded with eggs, breakfast meat, and hashbrowns to a healthy quinoa porridge with flax, blueberries, and honey. If you still have room, finish your meal with an indulgent slice of berry cheesecake or chocolate torte.

  • Hope Breakfast Bar – 1 S. Leech St., St. Paul, MN 55102
Even though it's open until 3 p.m. all week, Hope Breakfast Bar is all about the first (and most important!) meal of the day. This restaurant's menu is packed with everything you could ever want in a brunch spread, including breakfast sandwiches, bowls, pancakes, waffles, donuts, and plates of eggs with breakfast meats. Thirsty? The cocktail and coffee bar is full of non-alcoholic specialty coffee, espresso, and hot chocolate drinks, as well as more than a dozen alcoholic options.

Whether it's Father's Day or any other Sunday, residents of the Twin Cities always have a place to go for quality family time. Want to join them? Contact us today and start looking for your next home in Minneapolis, St. Paul, or the surrounding area.
