If you're just in the mood for a short walk, Nature Canyon Park is a great place to visit. The 0.5-mile walking trail passes through some woods and a nice meadow. The trail is flat and well-maintained, making it a great choice for families with small children.
Nature Canyon Park also has a modern playground. Dogs are welcome as long as they are on a leash. Like all Plymouth Parks, this one is tobacco-free.

Battle Creek Regional Park is a rather large park with several paved walkways along with a more rugged trail for hiking and mountain biking. There is also a large playground, a natural area, and a dog park on-site.
At Battle Creek Regional Park, you'll find lots of grills and picnic tables. So, this would be a great spot for a weekend picnic and group hike.
- Mississippi Gorge Regional Park: 3349 W. River Parkway., Minneapolis, MN 55406
