Summertime Music in the Twin Cities - Counselor Realty

There's never a bad time to enjoy the vibrant live music scene around the Twin Cities, and summer is an especially good time to catch a show if you enjoy outdoor concerts. Many local parks and performance stages feature concerts all summer long, showcasing a mix of local and nationally known bands from just about every musical genre. We've got more details on some of the many outdoor concerts you can look forward to around the Twin Cities this summer.

  • Twin Cities Jazz Fest – Mears Park, 221 5th St. E., St. Paul, MN 55101
    For jazz fans, few summer concerts can top all that you'll enjoy at the annual Twin Cities Jazz Fest. This event takes place at Mears Park, around the corner from Saint Paul homes for sale, on June 23 & 24, 2023. With two full days of outdoor concerts, this year's 25th-anniversary celebration of the Twin Cities Jazz Fest is one you won't want to miss.

  • Midtown Blues & Funk Fest – Dual Citizen Brewing Company, 725 Raymond Ave., St. Paul, MN 55114
    The Midtown Blues & Funk Fest features an eclectic mix of local and national bands, with an excellent outdoor location at Dual Citizen Brewing Company. This family-friendly event is free for all ages, with a packed music schedule on July 22, 2023. The concerts run from noon to 10 p.m., and there's also a special VIP section being added for this year's festival.

  • Groovin' in the Garden – Como Park Zoo & Conservatory, 1225 Estabrook Dr., St. Paul, MN 55103
    Every Wednesday evening from June 7 to July 26, 2023, you can enjoy the outstanding Groovin' in the Garden concert series at Como Park Zoo & Conservatory. Free concerts are held just outside the Marjorie McNeely Conservatory, with plenty of seating on the lawn. Spend the day exploring the zoo, then take in a concert starting at 6 p.m.

  • Music in the Parks – Various Parks in Minneapolis, MN 55401
    Many of your favorite parks near Minneapolis homes for sale will be part of the Music in the Parks series of free concerts, which runs all summer long. Participating parks/stages include Bryant Square Park, The Commons, Lake Harriet Bandshell, Minnehaha Bandstand, Nicollet Island Park, Water Works, Fort Hennepin Bluff Park, and Luring Park. Each park has set dates and times for summer concerts, so it's easy to plan ahead.

  • Stone Arch Bridge Festival – West River Parkway, from 11th Avenue to 4th Avenue, Minneapolis, MN 55401
    Do you prefer your summer concerts with a side of art? Then you're sure to love the Stone Arch Bridge Festival, which features two days packed with art, outdoor concerts, and so much more. With more than 200 artists, including some of Minnesota's top culinary artists, this event truly offers something for every taste. You can enjoy it all June 17 & 18, 2023, on the waterfront.

  • Bands on the Boulevard – Minnesota History Center, 345 W. Kellogg Blvd., St. Paul, MN 55102
    Turn your next concert into a full day of family fun with the Bands on the Boulevard concert series held outside of the Minnesota History Center. These concerts take place every Tuesday evening throughout July and often showcase some of the best local bands from around the Twin Cities. Bring a chair, find a space on the lawn, and grab some delicious food from local vendors before settling in for the show.
