A privately owned campground less than 40 minutes southwest of Minneapolis, Fish Lake Acres Campground is a great destination for a family weekend camping trip. About 140 campsites are available, including full-hookup RV and primitive tent sites. The campground also offers a swimming beach and boat launch on Fish Lake. The lake is known as a good fishing lake for bass, pike, and panfish, and Fish Lake Campground offers excellent access for anglers. - Afton State Park - 6959 Peller Ave. S, Hastings, MN 55033
Nestled Along the St. Croix River, Afton State Park is a great option for campers who truly want to get away from it all. In particular, backpackers will enjoy exploring the park's 20 miles of trails and spending the night at one of 28 remote hike-in campsites.
