November 9th is National Go to an Art Museum Day, and it's a perfect time to discover the fascinating works around the Twin Cities.     Head over to the University of Minnesota to visit the Weissman Art Museum on Go to an Art Museum Day. Their permanent collection features more than 25,000 unique pieces of art, including Korean furniture, ceramics, and American modernism pieces. If you can't make it on November 9th, be sure to visit on another November afternoon as Weissman Art Museum is hosting several fascinating events throughout the month.


  5. Minnesota Museum of American Art – 350 Robert St N, Saint Paul, MN 55101
    The Minnesota Museum on American Art explores the identities and experiences of Americans through creativity and artwork. Their extensive collection showcases American artists from the 19th and 20th centuries. They are currently undergoing an expansion to feature more artwork from some of the country's most iconic artists.


  6. American Museum of Asmat Art – 2115 Summit Ave #44C, Saint Paul, MN 55105
    Another exceptional and unique gallery in the Twin Cities, the American Museum of Asmat Art offers a fascinating glimpse into the culture and art of the Asmat people. Located on the campus of the University of St. Thomas, this museum dedicated to Papua region of Indonesia features over 2,000 pieces. As one of the largest museums of its kind in the country, the American Museum of American Art offers showcases works that are not for sale, unlike most Asmat art created today.
