The long-awaited return of the Cross Country World Cup to United States snow is nearly upon us, and Minnesota is the perfect place to mark the occasion. The Cross Country World Cup race marks the culmination of four days of fun at the Parallel 45 Winter Festival, with the world's best cross country skiers competing in a sprint format. Racers will include the U.S. Cross Country Ski Team, and the race marks the last head-to-head competition of the World Cup season. The sprint format is ideal for spectators, with tons of action-packed into a 1.4 km loop. Since this is the last head-to-head sprint of the season, it's also the last chance for skiers to make a move up the standings for the season-long championship. - Food, Music, and Fun at the Parallel 45 Village
Of course, the big World Cup race is just one part of the four-day Parallel 45 Winter Festival, and there will be tons of family fun available at the Parallel 45 Village throughout the event. The village is where you'll find all the best food, and it's also where the main performance stages are located. There will be live music all afternoon and evening during the first three days of the festival, with the most family-friendly acts playing earlier in the day.
