Minneapolis Best Spots to Watch Fireworks

Counselor Realty agents always work hard for our clients interested in the best homes in Minneapolis. Of course, even the best real estate agents do take a day off now and again, and there's no better time to do that than during exciting 4th of July weekend in Minneapolis.

You already know that as one of the two Twin Cities, Minneapolis offers all the best in arts, culture, food, education, entertainment, and sports. To add even more fun and excitement to your time in this phenomenal city, you can enjoy some of the best fireworks displays in America.

Minneapolis is known for the Red, White, and Boom! display – the largest fireworks show in the state. You'll never forget this breathtaking display, and you can even participate in the annual "Hot Dam" Marathon to raise money for good causes throughout the Twin Cities.

Naturally, there are many amazing spots to see the fireworks up close and personal.

To check out all the best Independence Day excitement, surf these online destinations:

  1. Stone Arch Bridge - 15 Portland Ave. S., Minneapolis
Stone Arch Bridge is one of the most iconic landmarks in Minneapolis. Food and entertainment are available from 6:30 pm, so you will have plenty of time to spend with friends and family. The city's outstanding fireworks display will kick off at 10 o'clock. For more information, visit the Southwest Minneapolis Patch July 4th Fireworks Guide.

  2. Gold Medal Park - 1099 S. 2nd St., Minneapolis
Gold Medal Park is a beautiful place to visit any time of year, but it comes alive in a truly special way every July 4th. It's a particularly good place for a family outing since there's plenty of open space to play Frisbee or enjoy other games until the show starts. Don't forget your bug spray! The National Park Service offers additional information on visiting Gold Medal Park.

  3. Mill City Museum - 704 South 2nd St., Minneapolis
The Mill City Museum is located right on the Mississippi River and is home to some of the most acclaimed exhibits in Minnesota, including favorites like the Flour Tower Elevator Show that showcases the inner workings of the 1870s mill complex. It offers an incredible view of the holiday fireworks from its Koch Observation Deck.  For more event information, visit the Minnesota Historical Society website.

  4. Guthrie Endless Bridge - 818 South 2nd Street, Minneapolis
The Guthrie Theater is the heart of the local theater scene. It has been home to some of the hottest new productions and hosted some of the biggest stars of stage and screen.
